At Chesapeake Eye Center, we believe in the power of giving back to those in need. We have incorporated CEC Cares as an essential part of our culture, supporting causes that are close to our hearts. Here are some recent highlights of our community involvement on Delmarva:
Poor Girls Open Fishing Tournament
CEC sponsored a team for the American Cancer Society at the Poor Girls Open Billfish Release Tournament. This is a ladies only tournament that benefits Breast Cancer Research.
Women Supporting Women Breast Cancer Walk
Our staff stepped up to participate in the Women Supporting Women Breast Cancer Walk. We expressed our solidarity with breast cancer patients and survivors by raising awareness and funds to support their journey toward recovery.
MS Walk
We are thrilled to have participated in helping raise funds and awareness for multiple sclerosis, a condition impacting the lives of countless individuals.
Maryland Food Bank Donations
During COVID-19, our staff united to support Maryland Food Bank. We raised funds by wearing jerseys and donating $1 each. Chesapeake Eye Center matched donations, gathering enough money to purchase food for local families.
Our generous staff also donated 361 pounds of food, potentially feeding 85-90 people.
